Improving GP practice websites
Brent CCG Primary Care Team invited views to inform the development of a new GP Practice Website for Patients. A survey was developed to seek views from engagement stakeholders including Healthwatch and patients. We ran a series of workshops to facilitate the design of the GP Website, which is to be offered to practices:
Project Group: Thursday 15th November 2018; Patient Groups: 5th December, 10th December, 13th December 2018; Patient Workshop 3: 10th January 2019
What we heard:
Lay representatives contributed to the design prototype. They understood the concept of the CCG vision and were able to apply their experiences towards an effective website for the Brent Population.
The lay representatives described what a good practice website would look like and it functionalitly, content, online services, GP core services and overall user experience. They suggested users should be able to find the information easily and the website should meet accessibility for all. Feedback has been discussed with the provider and is being used to further develop the website.
