From 1 September 2018 Dr Madhukar Patel will be taking on this key role from Dr Ethie Kong, who has been the Brent CCG Chair since the inception of the CCG in 2013.
We would like to thank Ethie for her longstanding hard work and dedication in improving health and care services within the borough.
Dr Ethie Kong said:
“I have enjoyed my years working as the Chair of Brent CCG. It was great to have the opportunity to work with everyone at North West London and with all the stakeholders to commission good quality services for our residents. I give Dr Patel my utmost support in his role as the next Chair”.
Dr Madhukar Patel commented:
“It is an honour and a privilege to be the next chair of Brent CCG. I look forward to working with all our stakeholders to make our local NHS services fit for the future and deliver the best possible care for our population.
There will be some challenges in achieving our vision but I am confident that through collaborative working and shared goals we can achieve the excellence in health care and reduction in health inequalities that we all desire.
In taking up my post in September I must pay tribute to the current Chair, Dr Ethie Kong, who has been a long standing and loyal servant of the NHS in Brent. My best wishes to Ethie in her next venture.”
