Public asked to avoid Northwick Park Hospital during A&E move

4 December 2014

The planned opening of the new Accident and Emergency (A&E) unit at Northwick Park Hospital, on Wednesday 10 December, will require the four hour divert of A&E services from midnight on Tuesday 9 December until 4am on Wednesday 10 December. The public are asked to avoid coming to the hospital during this time.

London Ambulance Service will not transport patients to Northwick Park Hospital’s A&E from midnight on Tuesday 9 December until the new department opens at 4am on Wednesday 10 December.

To ensure patient safety there will be two teams of staff working during the move to ensure that patients in the existing A&E still receive treatment while the move takes place.

Engagement review findings accepted

26 November 2014

Brent Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has welcomed an independent review of its patient and public engagement systems – accepting all the recommendations of the review.

Dr Ethie Kong, Chair of Brent CCG, said: “When we drafted the CCG’s initial engagement systems and strategy 18 months ago we set out to make sure public engagement was at the heart of everything we do. In reality, we’ve not delivered on that ambition.

“Implementing the recommendations of this review will put us back on track for ensuring we reach out to a broad group of Brent residents and deliver truly meaningful and effective engagement.”

Your healthcare services

20 November 2014

As we approach winter, people tend to pick up more illnesses and need more help from the NHS. In a time which sees an increase in demand for local health care, we are keen to help local people know what health services are available to help them.

A new booklet signposting people to ways to keep well, and where to get help when they need it, is being delivered to every household in Brent Clinical Commissioning Group.
