Change of date for Brent community ophthalmology service

Brent CCG has commissioned a new community based and consultant led ophthalmology service to treat patients in the community and closer to their homes.

The service will operate from two community sites, Sudbury Primary Care Centre and Willesden Centre for Health and Care, so patients don’t have to go to hospital for treatment. BMI Healthcare has been awarded the contract to provide the service.

Changes to A&E services at Central Middlesex and Hammersmith Hospitals

A major public information campaign has been launched today (Monday 28 July 2014) to tell people about changes to Accident and Emergency (A&E) services at two hospitals in North West London.

Change of date for community cardiology service

Service mobilisation of the Brent community consultant-led cardiology service has been progressing with a view to starting the service from 1 September 2014.

Regrettably, the commencement of refurbishment work at the Wembley Centre for Health & Care, which is one of the two premises that the new service will be provided from, has been delayed. This will mean that the service start date will now be delayed until November-December 2014. A final date will be confirmed over the next couple of weeks so we will keep you updated on the progress of this.
