Brent CCG hosts its 2nd Health Partner Forum

The event bought together members of the local community with representatives from the NHS, the local authority and voluntary sector. A total of 117 people attended the event.

The purpose of the event was to bring together residents and service-providers to work with the CCG to help shape Brent's future healthcare services in support of: 

  • Providing residents with an opportunity to discuss the issues that matter most to them;
  • Ensuring local people are kept up-to-date on healthcare plans for Brent;
  • Inviting ideas on how services might evolve to help people before they get into crisis (and to assist with swift recoveries at home); and,
  •  To focus throughout on how best to meet everyone's health needs within a sustainable financial framework.

Boost to develop more integrated care in Brent

The NHS in North West London has been selected as one of only 14 of NHS areas across the country that has been awarded the chance to be a 'pioneer' to support the delivery of the new and amibitious plans to deliver together local health and social care services for local people.

The announcement means that Brent will now receive specially tailored support from the Department of Health to enable more joined-up, user-centred care, after a bidding process which attracted around 100 entrants across the country.
