Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious illness caused by airborne bacteria. TB symptoms include a cough, fever, weight loss, night sweats and tiredness. Even if you feel well at the moment, there may be TB bacteria asleep in your body. This is called latent TB, and there is a 1 in 10 chance that these TB bacteria will wake up and cause illness.
