Healthwatch Brent is a statutory organisation which champions the voice of patients and carers locally.  The organisation works to help local people get the best out of their health and social care services.  Healthwatch Brent's vision is that:

'Brent residents can contribute to the development of quality health and social care services in Brent.'

Healthwatch Brent are involved in running, co-ordinating and supporting events, projects and activities. It gathers information and feedback from patients and service-users.

The organisation is represented at the Brent Health and Wellbeing Board, Brent Clinical Commissioning Group Board, hospital committee meetings and Brent Council events as well as volunteers who will support this information gathering.  They are also a core member of the Brent Equality, Engagement and Self-Care sub-committee (BEES), Integrated Governance Committee and are involved in a number of other working groups and boards e.g. the Integrated Care Partnership Board in Brent CCG.

Healthwatch is represented on the Governing Body. They are also a member on a number of CCG committees including Integrated Governance Committee, Brent Equality Engagement and Self-Care sub-Committee, Primary Care Commissioning. 

Healthwatch have partnered with commissioning teams within the CCG on specific projects including Whole Systems Integrated Care (WSIC), raising awareness of GP Access, Integrated Care Partnership Board and research on hospital discharge, which has informed Brent's fraility service within London North West Hospital Foundation Trust.
