Overnight opening hours at Central Middlesex Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre are changing. Here’s what you need to know.

21 October 2019

Brent CCG would like to inform local residents that opening hours at Central Middlesex Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) will change from midnight of 31 October 2019. The centre will now be open from 8am – 12 midnight, seven days a week. The service will be closed overnight between the hours of 12 midnight and 8am.

Any patients arriving after midnight will have access to a freephone to call NHS 111 for advice or signposting to other services.

Following engagement with local stakeholders, we made the decision to change the opening times so they are more in line with the time patients most use the service. The majority of people attending the centre at night do not need to be seen at an UTC, and advice is available from other services, including NHS 111 and the Health Help Now App.

Further information about the changes to opening hours can be found in our poster and leaflet.

Dr Madhukar Patel, Chair of Brent CCG said:

“We would like to reassure our local residents that they will continue to get the best, clinically safest healthcare from the NHS in Brent. There are a range of services that are available so residents can access the right care in the right place for their health needs.

Other local urgent treatment centres are confident that they can manage the demand for urgent care, and there will be a freephone to call NHS 111 outside Central Middlesex Urgent Treatment Centre, should the centre be closed when residents arrive.”
